New glasses for the New Year
On Friday night we discovered that Hunter wasn't seeing as well as he should be so we took him to the eye doctor on Saturday and discovered that he needs glasses. He was pretty sad at first, but is excited about his glasses now. We just picked them up today and he thinks he resembles Simon, the chipmunk, a little. He keeps quoting him and doing his moves. We've been laughing a lot! I think he looks pretty handsome, what do you think?
Speaking as an authority in the eye glass world, hehe, I say you guys did an awesome job of picking out some great frames for Hunter. He is such a cute kid.
I have to say that sometimes I wonder what people are thinking with the glasses they pick out, but I don't think I could have done better myself.
All three of my girls went into glasses around 8 years of age. Guess it's a good thing I've been in optical all these years.
ya know, we took nic in a couple weeks ago too just to be sure he didn't have any issues with tracking or anything. nope. apparently his eyes are perfect....now just to channel his energy into a more productive means:0)
I just found your blog through Ginger's blog and was so thrilled to see that you are adopting from Africa. Our story of adopting two boys from Liberia, Africa was featured on Oprah this past year. You can see it on my blog if you're interested. It has been a wonderful adventure!!! We've had our boys for 4 1/2 years. They are amazing. If I can ever answer any questions or encourage you in any way... let me know. blessings!
A couple weeks ago Hayley mentioned she wasn't seeing as good so we took her in and yep, she needed glasses. She was pretty excited, which I don't know why?! Who WANTS glasses? Especially in the 5th grade?
Friday she got her glasses and has finally adjusted to them. She picked out some cool purple frames. I'll be posting soon on my blog - feel free to stop over and check it out!
I remember my first glasses too. I HATED THEM!!! He looks pretty handsome in his. Missed you guys at the Arnold Christmas yesterday. I understand Hunter isn't feeling well. Hope he is better now and just wanted to let you know you were missed!!!
I have been married for 13 years to my wonderful husband Robb and have 4 beautiful children. Hunter is 8, Brylie 7, Gage 4 and our Ethiopian princess, Ruby is 2. I was an elementary school teacher before entering the wonderful world of motherhood. I feel that I have the most gratifying job in the world. There are many challenges to this job, but I consider it to be a wonderful blessing to be able to spend every day with my children. We are currently in the process of adopting from Ethiopia again. Yay!

I remember when Dawson needed glasses at age 3. I was really sad actually. He's been a trooper though and has done fine ever since.

He IS very very handsome with those new glasses - you should set him up with his own blog for his soon-to-be fan club!!!
