i have three kids that love their blankies. we however, have never had too much trouble washing them. i am sneaky and when i know it's a time that they will be up and about playing and probably not in need of the comfort...i snatch them up and wash them. then i surprise them by bringing up a basket full of warm things and tell them to dig for theirs. they love their blankies...but the LOVE LOVE their warm blankies!

My kids are all addicted to their blankies as well—even my 9 and 12 year olds. : )

I am happy that Dawson never cared about a blanket. Caymen just wants A blanket (doesn't matter WHICH one). That makes it easier on mommy for washing them.

Poor Gage...hang in there buddy. When it's all done...it will be nice and WARM!

Wow. Now that's showing some serious love for one's blanket.

Reminds me of the good old days. I hated blankie washing day. Worse yet were the days the blankie just went missing. Oh the horror!
(No, I don't mean I took it away, just sometimes they misplaced them)

Poor Gage! My mom once told me a story about when I was little we were at the laundry mat and she had to wash my fav. doll. I cried the whole time in front of the washer and she said that stupid doll would never move to the back of the washer, it stayed right in front of the glass. Go figure. Its all worth it in the end!!! Hey, when do you move?!

Kind of looks like you threw away a perfectly good kid there.

I think it's amazing that you are adopting a child from Ethiopia. Respect to you and your family.

Poor Gage...he looks so SAD!

Neither one of my kids ever had a blankie so I have no idea what it's like but seeing his face sure breaks my heart!

Cute picture of Gage.

Thanks for your kind words on my blog in regards to my grandpa. It is a tough time. The sadness comes in waves.
