Holiday Weekend

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. We were blessed with wonderful weather for the 4th. We took in the parade, food and fun at Robb's mom's house and fireworks with my family. Then yesterday after church we decided to head to Sioux Falls for the night to spend some extra fun family time with the kids before we leave for Ethiopia. Hunter's birthday is next Monday and we will be gone so we went to Chuck E Cheese's for an early birthday treat.
Waiting for the parade to start. Candy toss!!
Score! Just hanging out at Grandma Corinne's. We love the fireworks show at the Watertown Stadium. Fun at Chuck E Cheese's! Swimming at the hotel.
This will be a busy week at our house as we are getting ready to go to Ethiopia. We are so ready to have Ruby home with us! Our suitcases are getting full, the lists are getting smaller, and the kids' schedule while we are gone is filling up. As you all know, I really don't like leaving my kids. This will be the hardest part. They will be in great hands and hopefully the time goes quickly for all of us.

I hope the time goes quickly. For you to get to Ethiopia and get home before anyone has a chance to blink.

Okay so that might be unrealistic but I am praying the time goes quickly!!!

I am so excited for you!!

it has to be with such a tug of emotions that you leave. the joys of meeting face to face the sixth member of the arnold clan (you officially become a clan with four kids btw), and the heavy heart of leaving the others behind. we will keep all of you in our prayers as you embark on this most amazing journey. the end of so much, and yet the beginning of even more!

we love you!

After hearing Jodi's stories I bet you can't wait to get your hands on Ruby. I am sure she is just as precious as she described her.

I can't believe you are just six days away, Teresa! A day kind of seems like 'three' now doesn't it? Have you done any packing and repacking? I think I did that a few times.

Can you imagine just one month from now? You will wonder what life was like without her!

Take care and know that you have so many prayers going before, during and after you!
Love, Jeanne and family

Seriously, Brylie is the best accessorized little girl I know! Love her necklace and shoes.
I forgot that Hunter and Shayla share the same birthday.

I’m so excited for your family to meet Ruby!
