We are now considered to be in 'the window' of getting a referral. Families have been getting their referrals between 3-5 months on average. It feels really good to be at this point of the waiting, but because we are now in the window, I think that every day may be 'the day' that we will get the call about Ruby. Actually I am thinking that May will be our referral month. As far as I can tell there will probably be one more set of referrals before ours. Either way, WE ARE GETTING CLOSE! I can't even describe the anxiousness I am feeling. Here's to one more month down!

Three months and counting........

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm curious:
Do you think Ruby is probably already born? Typically how old are the children when they are referred?

Not a dumb question at all. Yes, I do think she is already born. Since we have requested a 0-12 month old girl, I am thinking she is pretty tiny. I have no idea how old she will be when we get the referral, it could be anywhere between that 0-12 months.
Exciting stuff! I don't know how you handle the waiting, I am not a patient person..it would kill me!
Horoay - three months down. I have not downloaded our pictures yet, but am planning on it today... Hope they are good! Thanks for the fun evening - it is so nice to live close to someone going through the EXACT same thing. I could not think of nicer people to experience our adoption with.
