A successful Walk
Once again we had a very successful Walk to Cure Diabetes. We had 23 family members and friends that came out and walked for Hunter's Team. What a blessing! Our team alone raised $4000 for diabetes research! That was our goal this year and because of the generosity of so many of our family and friends we were able to meet that goal. Hunter is very loved and we are truly blessed. There were 500 people at the mall walking in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. It is such an emotional event because we see first hand all of the families that deal with this disease daily, just like we do. We are definitely not alone in these challenges. JDRF is working very hard to make a cure a reality. It is going to happen and I feel very confident about that. Seventy thousand dollars was raised this weekend at the Sioux Falls Walk. How amazing is that? That money will definitely help with the research needed to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes.

that is awesome teresa! hunter has to feel like the most special young man around...he deserves it, as do you and robb.
We were in the mall on Saturday and I saw a group of hunters. I scanned the hunters for you, but no luck. I thought for sure I'd run into you!
Then we were in Icing and the lady standing on Robb's left was in there. I just knew she was part of your group and that she wouldn't be sportin' camo on just any old day!
Congrats on our successful day!!
PS LOVE how Brylie spices up her camo with a fancy headband! Too cute!
That is so awesome. WAY TO GO TEAM ARNOLD!!!!! Hey, did I read your bar at the top right? You get your baby in 2 weeks?! Did I miss something?
The header at the top is counting the weeks since our papers were sent to Ethiopia...which is officially when our wait began. I wish we were getting our little girl in 2 weeks but actually that is the amount of time that we have been on the waiting list.
Congratulation Teresa on your successful walk!!! That is amazing!

YAY!
Sorry I missed you guys. We got a late start on things Saturday.
Glad the event was successful.
That is awesome!! I am glad the walk was a success! Way to go team Hunter!!! GREAT JOB!
I'm glad the event was successful. My husband and his brother are both type 1 diabetics.
My son was hospitalized for 5 days back in October, and when they couldn't figure out what was going on, Children's Hospital said to test for diabetes. When they told us his sugars were up, it was almost the worst thing I could hear. We were blessed that he is not diabetic, and the sugars were just due to the steroids and IV fluids. I pray that a cure can be found as it is likely that at least one of my grandchildren will be affected.
