Snowman

Yesterday the kids and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and create a snowman. The snow was perfect for building a snowman, it stuck together perfectly. The kids hunted for the perfect sticks for arms and we dug in the treat bowl for the best items for making a face. We were quite proud of our accomplishment! When the kids woke from their nap they immediately ran to the window to check on their snow friend, and tears came when they saw that our dog, Cooter had mauled him while they slept. He chewed up his hat and feasted on his edible face. We should have known better than to make him so tasty! :)

That even makes me sad :( He was so cute. It kinda figures your daughter would add a touch of pink in there somewhere :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog - please visit again!
I loved your post - it reminded me of a great children's book. Snowmen at Night by Caralyn Buehner and her husband Mark is the artist. It is written in rhyming verse and tells the story of a boy who observes that the snowman he built the day before looks droopy and disheveled, and so he imagines what happened to his snow creation during the night. There are even hidden figures in the shadows, clouds and snowdrifts! It is a great book and they have another one, Snowmen at Christmas and their night of festivities while everyone is sleeping.

Very cute pictures of you and your kids out in the snow.

How sad to have the dog destroy the snowman.

We also have the book "Snowmen at Night" Did you get your's from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library? That is where we got ours. My kids get books from that until they are 7 years old(I think).
