Thank Heaven for Daddy!

I absolutely LOVE my job as a stay-at-home mom but there are days that seem like more than I can handle. I get stressed out and exhausted and just need a break sometimes. This is when I say "Thank Heaven for Daddy!" When Robb walks through the door I feel such great relief. Even though he is tired too, he gets down on the floor and does all the "fun" stuff I'd rather not do. He lets the kids jump and climb on him and has them laughing hysterically. I sit back and smile as I know that the rest of my day will be much easier.

I completely relate. When Rock comes home and is ready to play with the kids I am so relieved. They love it and it gives me a break, plus it wears them out a bit as well. Yeah for dads!

I always thought that ALL dads did that...but we've run into a lot that don't, and you can tell it in the kids. Chad is "assaulted" at the door by screaming kids ready to "take him out!"

It is such a blessing to have daddy's that care and understand what it's like to be a SAHM.

I remember those days, too. I loved my husband for giving me that much needed break. My kids loved that play time just crawling around on the floor with dad. They did so much giggling. They still talk about those memories all these years later.

Craig does the same thing. One day I thought I would be the cool parent and let them tackle me. BIG MISTAKE!!! Either I am a pansie or my kids actually are strong. I felt like I was in that doubles wrestling match and my partner is sitting in the recliner laughing at me. I had Brooklyn nailing me in the back of the head with a pillow while little wonder Cooper sneaks up and tackles you while Brookyln is distracting you. I think they worked out their strategy as soon as I said that I would play. Little stinkers!
