What a blessing these women are!
The top picture is my mom, Pat, my sister Tonia is in the middle, and Robb's mom Corinne is holding Ruby in the bottom picture. These 3 women took care of our children when we went to Ethiopia. It was such a blessing to have them caring for Hunter, Brylie and Gage. We dreaded having to leave them and I shed some tears, but they were in good hands and they had a great time. Because of Hunter's diabetes we have never left him overnight so he was so pumped about getting to spend 3 whole days at his cousin Caleb's house. I know that my mom and Tonia did not get a lot of sleep while caring for Hunter just because they made sure that his blood sugars were in the right range at all times. It can be a constant worry but they did a perfect job. Tonia emailed me daily with a report on the kids and that gave me great peace of mind. Brylie and Gage had a wonderful time at Grandma Corinne's while Hunter spent a few days at Aunt Tonia's. My mom kept the kids here at home the rest of the time. Robb's brother-in-law Wesley also helped with some of Hunter's diabetes needs. We are so thankful for these wonderful people in our lives.
That is so awesome that you have so much help. I don't have that cause my family isn't as close to me(location wise). I have been reading just not commenting lately. I have been really busy. With work, a now 2yr old and other big news. I will let you check out the big news on my blog. Ruby is so cute. She is so precious you are so lucky to have the chance to do that. God has blessed you imensely.
Absolutely awesome that you have so much help with the babes. My mother in law stayed with our kids when we were in Ethiopia and it was such a blessing not to have to worry about them.
I don't know your mom or your sister but I def. know Corinne and she is so sweet!!!! If I didn't have such a great mother-in-law already I would want to adopt her as mine!!! So glad they were well taken care of!!!!
grandma's and sister's are a blessing! i know all to well how difficult it is to leave the kids...but amazing women like these make that so much easier.
I have been married for 13 years to my wonderful husband Robb and have 4 beautiful children. Hunter is 8, Brylie 7, Gage 4 and our Ethiopian princess, Ruby is 2. I was an elementary school teacher before entering the wonderful world of motherhood. I feel that I have the most gratifying job in the world. There are many challenges to this job, but I consider it to be a wonderful blessing to be able to spend every day with my children. We are currently in the process of adopting from Ethiopia again. Yay!
