*GASP*!!!!! I wanted to get mine up but this weekend was too busy. We are coming home from SF early on Sat. (yes, we are taking grandma Arnold with us!!!) so that I can decorate. This will be my last chance otherwise the tree will not go up!!!! I hate it when I am too busy.
We put up our lights outside 2 weeks ago (running out of nice weather) but we always do the inside the day after Thanksgiving. Our tradition. Your tree looks beautiful!
Okay, let me explain. Last week Robb was really busy doing field work, trying to get the ground all worked up before a really hard freeze. The kids and I got REALLY bored at home after 2 days of no school, so we decided to get the Christmas decorations out. It took us the entire evening, which saved my sanity after we had run out of things to do. I usually don't put up the decorations before Christmas....but we were desperate for something to do. Since I don't host Thanksgiving, this works. :)
It looks very nice! It must be a fake tree. We always get a real one but I'm always afraid to get it too early or it'll be dead before Christmas with needles falling everywhere.
Did you sing carols while decorating it? I just couldn't take it that far yet...it's coming so fast the way it is. However, I'm very excited to take down the fall stuff and get out the Christmas stuff. Just not yet!
um, i mentioned you today in my blog...but in all fairness and because you are my special friend i thought it best to admitt that you inspired or corrupted me (however you choose to see it), i put up one of our trees last night. NO ornaments or tree skirt or anything...but one tree up:0)
I have been married for 13 years to my wonderful husband Robb and have 4 beautiful children. Hunter is 8, Brylie 7, Gage 4 and our Ethiopian princess, Ruby is 2. I was an elementary school teacher before entering the wonderful world of motherhood. I feel that I have the most gratifying job in the world. There are many challenges to this job, but I consider it to be a wonderful blessing to be able to spend every day with my children. We are currently in the process of adopting from Ethiopia again. Yay!

Oh, I'm jealous...I HATE putting it up, yet I love having it up.
Does that make sense?
I can't believe you have your tree up already...are you on top of things or what??!!
:-O
All I did was set out one Christmas candle display that I had been wanting to light -- since July.
I listened to a Christmas CD yesterday...Josh Groben. This is just not right in my book, but it was a gift from my husband.
BUT A TREE??????

I'm eager to get mine out but I'm looking for new tree decorations. I hope I find some I like because we put ours up Friday after Thanksgiving!
