Don't ya hate it when.....
You open your son's backpack and find this letter:
Dear Parents:
We are sending this letter to all parents to increase head lice awareness so that you may take steps at home to help prevent your child from being infested with head lice. We do suspect that head lice is present in our school.

oh.my.lord.
that would be a panic attack here. what steps do you have to take?
They send them out every year - sometimes twice a year. Basically, don't let them share anything with other kids and you should be okay!
HJ,
If it was up to me, I would just keep the kids home from school until the little buggers disappear from the school, but since I can't do that I guess we just tell the kids not to share hats, etc. YUCK!!!
Yuck!
I freak from those words. I don't have kids in school yet but personally I have a tramatic story. When I was a little girl I had hair down to the middle of my butt. I got head lice from my cousin. My mom treated it I think four or five times with the prescribed shampoo. But it wouldn't get the dead eggs out of the ends of my hair. Sooo I had to get my hair cut off. And when I mean cut off, it ended up being like a little boy cut, that is how much they had to cut off. So I freak when I hear those words.
OH NO!!!!
I hated it when those letters came home...sometimes it was the second week of school already!
Eww! Yup hate those kind of notes.
OH, YUCK!!
I hope we never have to deal with that! I think it would literally drive me insane!
Don't let yourself be fooled. Did you read Michelle A's post on getting head lice in her home...HELP! I'll never forget how they had to wash and boil everything.
I hated seeing that note come home. Thankfully we never got them.
That totally made my head itch!!!
