As I was busy tending to household jobs today I got to thinking about the jobs I don't mind doing around the house and the ones I wish I never had to do again. There are definitely tasks that get put off way too long because of my great dislike for all they entail. There are also some daily duties that I don't mind at all. It got me wondering how you all feel about those day to day jobs we as domestic engineers are forced to do. So please share, if you had to choose a favorite household task and a least favorite household task, what would they be? I'm so curious.
In case you're wondering what my picks would be I would have to say LAUNDRY and VACUUMING are my favorites and SCRUBBING THE SHOWER AND DUSTING are my least favorites. It's not that I actually like doing the laundry and vacuuming, but I really don't mind those 2 very necessary tasks. I do know for certain, though, that I really dislike cleaning the shower/tub and dusting. Those are the tasks that always get put off at my house. Okay, now it's your turn. (yeah, the whole post is pretty lame, but I'm curious)

I love every aspect of cleaning my house. I cannot think of a single domestic duty I dislike.

I don't mind: Dusting and vacuuming.
I dislike: Any and all bathroom beautifying duties.
First, I can't even remember how I found your blog, but I did and I'm not a dangerous stalker (just a stay-at-home mom whose baby still takes two long naps so I have time to play on the computer).
Your post tickled me, because I have always wondered the same thing!
For me, I don't mind laundry at all. In fact, I actually find the act of laundering very therapeutic.
I too can't stand the bathrooms. Right now I can't even enjoy my nice big tub, because it is too dirty and I'm too tired to clean it! Ridiculous, I know!

I LOVE the smell of a freshly cleaned house, I just wish I could hire someone to do it for me. I don't mind laundry and vacuuming but HATE, HATE, HATE cleaning the bathroom. Mainly because Cooper is still trying to get that little hose under control so I always have to scrub the walls and the floor and underneath the toilet bowl along with the rest of the bathroom. I remember Heidi doing a post on her fav. household cleaning products. I took her advice and bought the Clorox wipes and that is something I can't live without now.
We can only list two? That's tough, I really dislike more than just two!
I dont mind vacuuming/sweeping the floors, loading/unloading the dishwasher
I dispise anything that needs to be done in the bathrooms, putting the laundry away, dusting, and washing windows (i could go on...)
I like cleaning up the kitchen. It's the first thing that people see when they walk in my house. I love walking into my house and seeing a clean kitchen!
I hate: anything to do with bathrooms, laundry, washing windows, dishes, taking out the garbage, and I think that I'll stop there.
I hate cleaning house...PERIOD! I would much rather be outside doing anything else!
What a great post! I too...dislike dusting and also cleaning the bathroom all together. It's something about it that grosses me out. So I just don't do it. I also don't like to vacuum the stairs. I don't mind laundry because it is constantly going and loading and unloading the dishwasher.
I'm loving toliet cleaning now that the bubbles have the pad on a stick concept. However, I still hate to clean the baseboards.
My least favorite cleaning job is dusting.
My 3 least favorite are unloading the dishwasher and putting away laundry and cleaning the tub.
I don't mind most of the other stuff.
Yup, I hate to unload the dishwasher..period! I don't mind the rest, but I will leave my clean and loaded dishwasher and wash dishes by hand...crazy, huh?
Great post, not lame at all! I would say I do not mind laundry and cleaning the kitchen (since I spend so much time in there!) My least favorite is mopping and cleaning toilets! (have 2 boys in the house-enough said!) I do like my Clorox wipes, they are a must, especially for the bathrooms. But I use them in every room! Thanks for sharing!
