Fireproof

Have you seen this movie yet? There are very few movies that I absolutely love and want to see again...but this one tops the list for me. It is a very well written, well acted out film with an amazing story line. I would HIGHLY recommend this movie to anyone. It is a story of a couple whose marriage is falling apart and neither one of them have the desire to save it. The husband is played by Kirk Cameron. His father in the movie challenges him to a 'love dare' that ultimately shows him the importance of having God in our relationships. It is so, so good. Bring tissues.

Today I'm thinking about........

The 143 million orphans in this world who have no one to call mommy or daddy. This REALLY breaks my heart. Lord I pray for each one of these precious children that need a home.

Biter Biscuits

Last weekend we started the ever messy biter biscuits with Ruby. For those of you who are mothers, you will know the love/hate relationship with these things. They are so wonderful because she will chew on one biscuit for about a half an hour but the mess they create is ridiculous. As you can see, I strip her down and let her enjoy the biscuit and then carry her right into the bath tub. All of my kids have LOVED these things!

Favorite Photos for Friday

Last week was Homecoming week at our school. One of the days was 'Crazy hair day' and Hunter and Brylie thought that was pretty fun. Hunter thought he was a rock star with his green hair and Gage wanted to be included so he got green hair for the day too.
He even had his air guitar going in this picture!

Tae Kwon Do

Hunter has been in Tae Kwon Do for 1 month now and has earned his first belt, the white belt. He is thrilled and can't wait to move all the way up the ladder to earn the black belt. We are so proud of how well he is doing and absolutely love the program.

Thanks Jodi for capturing Ruby's Dedication. I still have lots of fun pictures of Ruby in her pretty dress and some of Ruby and Destiny. I thought this was probably enough for today. :)

Happy Birthday Honey!

Robb turns 33 today. Unfortunately his birthday falls right in the middle of harvest so he is spending his day working. I did make him his favorite lunch and delivered it to him in the field. I guess we'll have to celebrate when it rains! Oh the life of a farmer. :)

Our sweet Ruby

It is so hard to believe that we have only had Ruby with us for 2 months. I can't imagine life without her. Having her home has been so wonderful. She is growing so much and changing all the time. She brings so much joy to all of us. After our trip to Ethiopia and learning that her Ethiopian name, Sifan, was given to her by her birth mom and it means 'for your sake' we knew that we needed to keep it as one of her middle names. So, her full name is Ruby Katheryn Sifan Arnold. We are completely committed to teaching her about her birth country, which we feel forever connected to. The Ethiopian people were so kind and showed us so much love. Part of my heart will always be in Ethiopia and I will always be praying for that country. They need our prayers so badly. At almost 7 months old Ruby loves baby food, is sitting up, smiles all the time, sleeps wonderfully, and loves her family very much. We are so blessed to have this little miracle in our lives!

Indiana Jones lives at our house

Indiana Jones makes his appearance at the Arnold house daily. Hunter can hardly wait to get home from school to get on this getup and head outside to find an adventure. Let me point out that he hasn't ever seen any of the Indiana Jones movies but got the whip with his birthday money and hasn't been the same since! I absolutely love his imagination. He spends hours a day 'looking for lost treasures'.
