First day of school

Today is the first day of school for Hunter and Brylie. This day always gets me choked up. I love having all of my kids at home and miss them terribly while they are at school. This is such an exciting day for them though and I know that they will come home with all kinds of things to share with me.
Here is my Kindergartener and 1st grader.
New backpacks are always so fun!
A squeeze from mom.Brylie's teacher Mrs. Zens. Notice the terrified look on Brylie's face. She's not so sure that she will like all day Kindergarten.
Brylie found her best friends Hannah and McKenna and everything seemed better then. :) (they all look a little scared)
Hunter with his 1st grade teacher Mrs. Peterson. She taught Robb in Kindergarten.
Hunter has his cousin Booker in his class this year and they were thrilled to see that they both wore Star Wars shirts today! :)
Hunter asked if they could take a 'Jedi picture' too. I love it!

Love the pictures!!! Wtn. started today too and Brooklyn has the EXACT same backpack as Brylie!!! I can't believe she is in kindergarten already. Cooper will be there next year!!! Not in Hamlin, kindergarten I mean!!!

They look soo cute. It is awfully quiet around my house today, too. I am not sure if I like it or not. The boys were ready, though. Dannika cried because she wanted to go to school, too!

Hunter is so confident and "big" being a 1st grader and all...
And Brylie nervous of the unknown, after a week or two I'm sure Brylie will be an old hat at school just like Hunter.

Did Hunter only go 1/2 day kindergarten?? Dawson is actually getting excited for school. I love how you take pictures with their teachers. How fun for Hunter to have someone that Robb did. That was our story last year. I can only hope that Dawson's kindergarten teacher can hold off 4 more years for Caymen. :)

I bet Gage and Ruby had a fun day with MOMMY!!

Take care Teresa!!

The fun part of this for me is seeing how your kids are growing. Brylie's hair could not be cuter.

Hope mom made it through the day just enjoying time with her two babies.

Can't wait to watch Ruby grow post by post.

Praying right now that the Lord will fill your empty heart as your two oldest are away at school and give you wonderful time to enjoy them when they get back home.

I always hated sending my kids back to school too....I really enjoyed my time at home with them but now that they are older, I have NO problem sending them off...lol. Not that I don't love them, they are just a little more independent and I know that they are ready.

I love it that he and Booker both wore Star Wars shirts! Those boys and their star wars!

Oh Teresa! How cute! You can't believe how fast these elementary years go! (even though we were both teachers, you'd think this would not be a surprise....but it is!). I took a picture of Emilee and Shawn by their school sign on the first day of school, and it hit me that it would be the LAST photo with the two of them together by the sign. Emilee is in 6th grade (Shawn is in 3rd). I drove away bawling!

Also, like your description of school pics....so true! I will also give Shawn a 'pass' on wearing a "Sunday Shirt" (that's what he calls it!) and let him wear one of his athletic shirts....it's Shawn.

Better run! Hope all is still going well with Miss Ruby!
Blessings!
