Lord, bring us some rain

There is an old farmer's saying, "if your corn is knee high by the 4th of July you will have a good crop". Well, this picture was taken this 4th of July and as you can see, the corn is as tall as my 6 foot husband! The crops look great this year and the prices are good, now we are in need of some RAIN. The timely rains really make or break a crop. Please send up a little prayer for some much needed rain for the farmers.

i feel like i've missed out on so much being away. your pictures from the fourth are lovely. thanks for including pictures of your beautiful face...i miss it!

i am praying for water, and for selfish reasons too. i haven't had to mow in three weeks! our lawn is dried up terribly. i miss mowing. but i know that the crop issues are huge...so i'll continue to pray for timely rain!

see you tomorrow:-)

We really do need a rain. Chad kept checking the weather on the DTN yesterday and looked like we might get a little but we missed the rains again. Hopefully our prayers will be answered and we will get the much needed rain soon.

We need it so badly in Michigan, too. Our corn is not looking nearly as tall as yours. Our grass is awful. Yes, we are praying for rain.

I must say the weather was great for our kids to be home though :) Texas has had non stop rain.

Your corn looks so much better than the corn in our area. It's truly knee high. :) Praying for your rain!!!! It seems that the south is getting all the rain!
