Gage Dakota is 2!!!
On June 9th, 2005 Gage Dakota came into the world in record time! I was induced at 8:15 am and by 11:20 it was all over with and I was holding little 7 pound 4 ounce Gage in my arms, trying to figure out who he looked like! There were a couple small resemblances to his brother and sister but for the most part he had his own look. I was thrilled with a healthy baby boy to add to our family. I had loved the name Gage for quite some time but had to give Robb time to decide if it was the perfect name for our 3rd child. Naming children in our house is no easy feat, but I'll save that for another post! I really wanted Robb to name him since I had come up with Hunter and Brylie. He decided on Gage Dakota as he thought it was a strong name. And isn't it funny how once you decide on the name, it just fits them perfectly?
Gage is such a blessing to our family in so many ways. His personality is very different than either his brother or sister. He is the busiest of our kids and has absolutely NO FEAR! We consider him the comedian of the family and spend a good portion of our day laughing at him. He will do anything to get a laugh! (many times it involves a mess....like food on his head, etc.)
Gage is very strong willed but with the knowledge I am gaining from 'Bringing up Boys' I think I may still be one step ahead of him! :)
I am looking forward to the year ahead. There will be more talking, more risk-taking, lots more laughing and the disappearance of the last bit of baby fat on his body (for that I am quite sad!). My baby is becoming a little boy and although it makes me a little sad, I am excited to watch this little boy grow and develop.
I love you Gage! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Gage!! The pictures below are great - the last one is so very precious!
H*A*P*P*Y*B*I*R*T*H*D*A*Y*G*A*G*E!!
what an amazing kid in an amazing family! me and the kids may just have to pack up and come up there soon.
Happy Birthday Gage.
He sounds like he may just be your little "trouble-maker"! Courtney is our "trouble-maker". It seems as if every family has to have at least one strong-willed one...at least they know how to "hold their own".
Happy Birthday Gage! I can't believe he is 2 already! It seems like yesterday he was just this little baby in the car seat! They sure grow up fast!
Happy Birthday, Gage. :-D
What fun!! Those pictures are too cute. I love it that he fell asleep standing up.
My eight year old (Jonathan) was an amazing delivery like that. What's kind of funny is he falls asleep like that all the time—falls sideways on his bed and is out before he even positions himself in the right direction. : )
hope I didn't miss the party? I was sick this weekend so maybe. we have a gift for him, so we'll come see him soon. Love the pictures!
He sounds lovely...sorry that is African for awesome.
I love your cake and 15 bucks..what a deal. I priced some today for Sky's b-day (I usually make them too) and they are $35+...UGH. Guess I better figure out how to do a cut up ice skate
