I'm still here!
I know that I have been terrible about posting this last month. We are really struggling with the harvest this year. We still have 1 field of corn to combine and it is raining right now. I can't even tell you how frustrated we all are. We are usually done with harvest by the 10th of November. So, I'm still cooking meals for the guys and running for parts when needed and offering as much support as possible to my exhausted husband. For one week they ran the combines at night when it was colder and the ground was harder. The kids and I haven't seen much of Robb. Luckily they never work on Sundays so we savor every minute of that day with him. It is time to wrap this up and look forward to Christmas. And speaking of Christmas, I haven't even started my shopping yet....everything gets put on hold until harvest is done. Say a prayer today for all of the farmers still struggling to get their crops out of the fields in this terrible weather.

Now its snowing......can they still combine when its like this? I am praying that they will get all of the corn out soon!!! Hang in there.....it will all be over soon and then you have all winter to enjoy time with Robb.
i thought that you may have converted to facebook...for shame for shame.
so sorry that the harvest has taken this long. my in-laws were able to be finished up by thanksgiving, but obvioulsy different conditions and amounts of land.
i will pray for rest and peace for your husband, and i know that this holiday will indeed be that for you all!
Farming can be so rewarding but yet so frustrating at times! We just finished about 10 days ago and I know it was physically as well as emotionally draining. Praying for you and all other farmers with their crops still out in the fields! Hang in there, it will get done eventially!
The farmers will be in my prayers! I hope Robb can get some rest soon.

Feeling for you and your family. I always feel like a widow during harvest. We also don't do anything on Sunday's so it's nice to have that one day during the week to reconnect. I cannot believe that you still have one field left. I guess I took it for granted when we finished up the beginning of Nov. I hope you get it all done soon.
WOW! That is a late harvest. I remember growing up late nights, dust, tired folks. I feel for you having to deal so late in the year yet.
Praying that harvest will be done soon.
Stay warm.
Hi :) My name is Deborah Granick, I really enjoy reading your blog. I also read "hedi jo's blog and I saw your comment about pregnancy yoga. I am pregnant and have been thinking about yoga. I was wondering what your prespective was on it, because I know you are a christian too. I am not really interested in the spiritual side of it ( although I have heard of "christian yoga" but in your expirence, have you done yoga that was more stretching and relaxing with out all of the spiritual stuff, or was it there and you just ignored it? Anyway I have been trying to figure out how I feel about yoga as a christian and was interested in your opintion. :)
Thanks!
Deborah
PS: We want to adopt someday and reading your blog is really inspiring to me! I will be praying for you all as you go through harvest.
Hoping that everything runs smoothly and your crops get out of the fields and you and your family can enjoy the hubby more!!!
